There are numerous chickens, ducks, and several of these peacocks that run free on the museum grounds. Most of the peafowl we are used to seeing (including the ones at the museum) are originally from India, but there is another similar variety from southeast Asia. The male peacock displays its showy tail feathers as an act or courtship.
