We stayed at Maumelle in Jan. Loved the large sites and watching the barges pass by.

Nice COE park ... I'm going to pin-it for reference whenever we get to Arkansas ... as we will eventually.

We had one of those horrendous accident closures early in our rig-history. It was on our maiden voyage bringing the Phaeton east from Oregon. No detours, no exits ... the traffic came to a complete standstill for several hours in both directions in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do but turn off the engine, crank up the generator, warm up dinner while we waited for the road to open. At least we had our own bathroom ... felt sorry for those who didn't ;-)

They must do construction on that bride all the time. We had construction to deal with the last time we were there also....yuck!

We stayed at the same campground when we visited Vicksburg National Military Park. Love that Military Park!

Maumelle Park is our favorite COE park. What a great location for hiking and sightseeing.
