Feeling Better
Bushnell, FL - Events of Monday, January 5 to Tuesday, January 13, 2015
Although Margery started feeling a little better a few days after starting the Tamiflu, it took her another week to feel almost back to normal. Paul, on the other hand, was able to get started on the Tamiflu much sooner after the onset of his symptoms since we weren't on the road at the time, so he never did get that sick. He was back to 100% within just a few days.
Finally on Monday, we both felt well enough to venture out. We headed to Beef O'Brady's in the afternoon for Burger Monday. On Mondays, the Build-Your-Own Angus burger with one side is $5.49 (up from $4.99 the last time we were there) rather than the regular price of $7.99. Margery had everything but onions on hers with onion rings ($1.50 extra) for her side, and Paul had his burger with cheese and ketchup with slaw for his side. Everything was delish!

Unfortunately, Margery had a slight relapse later on Tuesday. Her cough returned, and she felt pretty listless. Paul ran a couple of errands during the week while Margery hung out around the motor home most of the time.
Margery recovered from her relapse in time for church on Sunday. We have only been grocery shopping for the bare essentials recently, so we decided to drive a few miles north after church to the Market of Marion to pick up some fresh produce.
The Market of Marion is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It isn't a very big flea market, but they almost always have a nice selection of produce.
The weather had been cloudy and cool recently. Sunday was still cloudy, but at least it was warmer. The warmer weather must have brought people out of the woodwork because the market was pretty crowded. The parking lot by the main entrance was packed, so we parked near one of the side entrances.

We got an eggplant, some spinach, a tomato, several zucchini, several yellow squash, and a bag of sweet Vidalia onions.

On Monday, Margery had a hankerin' for ribs, so we decided to head up to OakWood Grill in The Villages. OakWood has their ribs specially priced at $13.99 for a full rack plus two sides (regularly $15.99) on Sundays through Wednesdays. Margery had ribs with slaw and onion rings while Paul had a smoked turkey plate with slaw and lima beans.

We haven't had much to report on since we got back to Florida because we haven't gotten out much. Not only were we both under the weather, but we have also been in limbo waiting to hear about our new 5th wheel. The salesman at the RV dealership sent us an e-mail on Christmas Eve saying our trailer was done at the factory. However, because of the holidays, it might take a little longer than usual to get the trailer to Florida. We were expecting a call any day after about January 5th saying it had come in.
Paul ordered a hitch for the truck from a shop here in Bushnell as soon as we got back to Florida from Pittsburgh. We have to have the hitch installed before we can pick up the 5th wheel, so we have kind of been hanging around waiting for word on the arrival of the hitch so we could make the appointment to have it installed.
Paul was getting nervous because it was taking longer than expected for the hitch to come in so on Tuesday, he stopped in at the shop where he ordered the hitch to check on it. He found out it was finally due in that day. He made an appointment to have it installed on Thurday.
While Paul was out checking on the hitch, Margery got a call that the 5th wheel was in. Wow, everything was happening at once! Margery made arrangements for us head to the dealership in Fort Meyers to pick up the 5th wheel on the following Monday.
In the meantime, we had plans for Wednesday. We'll tell you about them in our next post.
Oh wow....new home ready to go. Can't wait to hear how you two like your new living quarters.
Glad you are felling much better Margery. Paul had a touch of that flu, and he had the shot also. Strange stuff.
